About the artist
Pasquale Grasso brings a rare gift: the ability to make one guitar sound like an entire jazz ensemble - rich in history, alive with imagination and absolutely swinging.
Raised on a farm in Ariano Irpino, Italy, Grasso first picked up the guitar at age five and was playing jazz standards with his brother by nine. He studied classical guitar at the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Martini in Bologna - building a foundation of precision and discipline that now underpins his fearless jazz improvisations.
He won a Grammy for his work on Samara Joy's 2022 album Linger Awhile as well as accompanying her on her 2021 self-titled debut record in 2021.With records like Solo Standards, Solo Monk, Pasquale Plays Duke, and the recent Solo Be-Bop! (2025) and Fervency (2025) Pasquale showcases his mastery of solo guitar and tributes to jazz legends released on Sony Masterworks.
Expect a night where history meets spontaneity, where classical discipline meets jazz soul, and where one guitarist fills the room with amazement.
